Here's my bet on the October surprise.

The FBI will round up a couple of suspicious people of middle eastern decent, possibly even connected in some way with some terrorist organization. They will "discover" all kinds of "evidence" that these people were about to set off a 10 kiloton nuke in downtown Denver, and thus "prove" what a great job Bush is doing at catching terrorists.

Of course the "evidence" will be phoney as a three dollar bill, and the "nuclear material" will turn out be a bottle of glow-in-the-dark paint from the local craft shop. But of course that won't be "discovered" until long after the election.

1. I wouldn't be so sure.

I know Bush & Co are snarky sons of bitches, but I don't want to discount every warning because of a political gain for the president.

I don't care if it does result in a gain/loss in the polls, because I don't want to see more people killed. I'm so sick and fucking tired of useless wasteful death.

I do hope that by now, though, American people have learned that this Administration rarely exerts itself for the country, and only for the Bush family cartel.

2. The thing is, if there is a real terrorist attack

Bushco is done for. It would prove what a mess he had made and how badly he had failed to protect America from the real terrorists.
