Looking at the lunaville stats for wounded, they are way off the mark
http://lunaville.org/warcasualties/Summary.aspx

Last weekend I spoke w/a military doctor, chief of his particular medical field in one of the base hospitals, who said that Landstuhl had received 51 wounded on one day and 52 the very next day, and that was this year.

I personally know a soldier who was flown to Landstuhl for 2nd-3rd degree burns on his face and hands, and the cargo plane he was flown in last Thurs...I'm assuming a C-130...was full, to include a leg amputee. Those people aren't returning within 72 hours if they're being sent to Landstuhl.

Landstuhl receives approx. 3 helicopters full of casualties every day, with ambulances, buses and taxis filing through all day long. The Lunaville numbers are grossly understated, and actually of more importance, at least to me, than the 802 deaths. As the doctor told me, the casualties the hospitals are receiving are life-altering injuries due to body armor protection not covering the face and extremities.

Our VA hospitals had better be supported financially to the max, because our soldiers are going to need them well into the future.

1. The numbers just are'nt right
Lunaville is doing a very good job, they're my first stop of the day, I just don't believe that they are getting the full truth. We get a little peek behind the curtain, but, we're not getting the whole story.

2. Undercounted fatalities
It has been mentioned here that the number of deaths excludes those that died after they were evacuated from Iraq.

3. Q . Bush can't even tell the truth about the weather what do you..
expect?

A. More lies about everything!

Our air crews and our C-130s are back from Iraq and I've heard from two different Air Guardsmen that the DoD is fudging the numbers! Your information goes right along with what I was told here!
