Wit House? Abu Ghraib?Gh re bee?

It is so disturbing for GWB to keep insulting the world, and especially the Muslim world ,with his constant mix ups with words.
To me it is equal to someone calling the White House the Wit House or the Right House.

That would say to me that someone didn't care enough about our country to find out EXACTLY how an America ear would hear it.

There is no excuse for these constant misspeaks!! It is rude and it is wrong and it should stop!

If he can not say Abu Ghraib then he should just say.."we are going to take down that PRISON where we abused so many Muslims."

As I recall, his father did this with Saddam calling him Sa DAM.

1. Actually he is quite universal in his malaprops - the simple
observation is that his linguistic capabilities like his mental ones - just arent worthy of a world leader - he should have stuck to cushy jobs provided by dad.....

2. it's a shame that
Repigs and the public think it's just so adorable. Kinda like my parents though it was cute when i called my sister denador (her name is Jennifer). Then again he isn't a 3 year-old like I was. He's "Yale educated." You'd think he'd understand phonetics. Maybe someday we'll see him on a commercial...

Shrubby: "Hooked on phone-ix worked fer me" (yeah, poor attempt at his likely misspeaks).

3. It's amazing to me that no one insisted he get the pronunciation right
considering they were touting last night's speech as the beginning of a turnaround. It says loud and clear that he/they don't give a shit.

6. I think it is done purposefully
He had a chance to practice this speech, not once but twice. Assuming he practices in front of Karen and others, I am certain they would correct his pronunciation and drill him on it. He does it on purpose in the same way he makes up nicknames for everyone. It is a mockery-and he thinks it looks cute. He has, I agree, been getting away with the stupidity from the minute he stole office.

I hate this man. I cannot stand to see his ugly face assuming an arrogant demeanor, as if he was some sort of a great president.--all morning long it has been Bush blah blah blah on my Yahooo home page.

We have this to look forward for six more nationallyh broadcast speeches. It is not the speeches but also the exposure, even though few probably watched him. He is using his own slaughter , illegal invasion , the deaths of eight hundred Americans, and thousands of innocent Iraqis as a campaign stump. He is getting away with it too. No one to challenge with conviction, this dispicable coward and few willing to call him on anything at all. Kerry's response, as I expected, was tepid and weak.

-- it seems almost impossible that we have been shackled by evil forces that surround and advise a dumb man,who want hegemony in the Middle East. It seems a nightmare that this insane, delusional and absolute moron, who was not elected by the people, has ruined this country badly, not just superficially -- I do not believe he gives a damn about this country--all he cares about is the expansion of his business buddies--who owe no allegiance at all to the country or to the people of the country.

Surely there is someone in this administration who could give him the definitive pronunciation. Then it should have been written phonetically on the teleprompter. Nothing wrong with that. All of these Arabic names are transliterations I assume. So the spelling can vary.

I agree, though, that being all over the place with the pronunciation just screams that you didn't care enough to get it right. Shows disrespect when he is trying to convey to the Iraqis how much he cares.

Arrogance, IMO.

8. I makes me squirm every time I hear him speak.
And it seems happens to happen more when they are prepared speeches. Practice makes perfect George.

10. At the beginning of his reading the speech, my wife and I heard him
say "instruction" instead of "destruction" when referring to the problems the insurgents caused in Iraq. The context called for the word "destruction". Did any of you hear that?
