CNN gag-inducing headline: "Bruised Bush battles back"
Wait a minute...is CNN trying to infer that the bike mishap "metaphorically" represents Bush's IRAQ WAR BATTLE SCARS?

Holy shit...

full CNN story here:

"Bruised Bush battles back"

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/05/24/mon/index.html

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- It's not the image one hopes to project in an internationally televised, prime-time speech. But after weeks of bruising criticism over his handling of Iraq, President Bush will go on TV Monday night with a cut on his upper lip and scrapes on his nose, chin and hand.

With critics roundly questioning his ability to do everything from lead Iraq to ride a bicycle, Bush begins a five-week push Monday to convince Americans that he has a workable plan for Iraq and to persuade foreign leaders to contribute more to the U.S. mission."

3. This is Good News
They can no longer maintain the line that Bush is a popular president or the scandals are insignficant. Expect many more of these headlines in the next six months.

9. if he was wearing a helmet " WITH" a chin guard...why was his chin so

This is NOT a good image for Bush. Beaten, literally bruised and on the defensive!!!! This is VERY symbolic and VERY bad for him. He's becoming an object of scorn and ridicule!

With critics roundly questioning his ability to do everything from lead Iraq to ride a bicycle,

14. Are there photos available of junior riding a bike on this particular day?
The world knows junior can't ride a horse.
The world knows junior can't ride a Segway.
Laura sez on most nights junior falls off.

So who thinks junior can ride a bike?

Drunks only look like this!

18. bruised but battling back ... but, is he the antiChrist?
a story like this 'Bruised Bush Battles Back', now, makes me wonder if they purposely smashed him up for PR effect, IAW some Rove - Hill & Knowlton (I think younger Barbara landed a job there) cunning plan :tinfoilhat:

is this when the Antichrist will appear to be mortally wounded and comes back to life?
