From the Wilderness

I have become addicted to this site. Although I think the site is nothing but conspiracy theories the stories are really interesting. Do any other DUers look at it? And how credible is Ruppert? Did he follow the Clinton impeachment at all and write stories about it? I just think that at lot of the stories sound like conspiracy theories.

2. Conspiracy theories...or conspiracies?
I don't know about the overall credibility, but it's thought-provoking. Kind of :tinfoilhat:. That doesn't mean some of it isn't credible.

3. I enjoy reading his stuff .....
NOT because I agree with his conclusions, but because his sources tend to be legitimate .... He was VERY early with Pincus and the 'palace uprising' within the CIA and State professional ranks ....

His ultimate conclusions tend to be couched in international conspiratorial terms ....

I agree with the early poster: ... there are conspiracy theories, .. and then there are conspiracies ...

4. VERY CREDIBLE
Look,

I can't agree with Ruppert 100% of the time. Perhaps 95%. But that's only because I myself cannot get my brain wrapped around most of the stuff Ruppert comes up with. I simply don't have knowledge, the tools, or the analytical savvy to fully understand what he comes up with. But simply put, Ruppert has been 95% CORRECT ABOUT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING SO FAR. He called the Iraq Invasion two years ago. He's one of the leading proponents of "Peak Oil," and how we're all gonna be royally fucked sooner than even the oil companies are now admitting.

Over thirty members of Congress subscribe to his newsletter.

He's been my main "crusader" for getting to the truth of 9-11. He only uses "mainstream" publications, and documented evidence from several sources. It pisses me off how people still like to impugn this guy's credibility. And the worst of it comes from what he calls "the lily-livered Left."

He doesn't go into "no plane hit the Pentagon," or "explosives planted in the WTC Towers," only because as Ruppert simply puts it, "what for? The evidence is gone." He calls such speculation, or that "remote control flew the planes" as just so much "journalistic suicide."

I read up on him regularly and other so-called CT's. He's been the most right, most often, and, much like my other favorite CT, Greg Palast, sounds the most reasonable and sane at his live lectures.

If Skolnick is Goofus, then Ruppert is Gallant.

WE ALL should be reading his stuff and forwarding it around. The Captain does!

Captain Mike

6. And "peak oil".....
is certainly NOT some kind of conspiracy.

It is real. It it here now.

At the least, it is the beginning of a more austere lifestyle. At the worst, it is the end of us. And that's where it starts to sound tinfoilhatish.

5. You wrote it yourself - conspiracy theory
I think he's a kook. He sees bogeymen everywhere. He continues with the Vreeland fairytale ( last I looked) and the big one that really bugs me is the "Clinton ran drugs out of Mena airport".

I give him no credibility at all.

Disclaimer everytime I write something like this: One can be a raving liberal and still not believe in far out conspiracies.

7. I think you misrepresent Ruppert
Edited on Tue Aug-12-03 09:41 AM by Minstrel Boy
Does he say "Clinton ran drugs out of Mena airport"? It was the CIA, though Clinton was governor of Arkansas when the CIA used Mena as part of its contra cocaine operation. And it's not a "theory," it's just an uncomfortable truth.
