Married couple deployed TOGETHER 4 months after having third child?
This is an excerpt from the letters from a Roanke Va. soldier (WO Beth Eby)-see Editorials and Letters forum

http://www.roanoke.com/roatimes/special_sections/letters/4.10.html

And the Army doesn't seem to be toning things down for the future, so it will most likely be deployment after deployment for everyone from now on. It's too much to ask, and I wonder if we are going to be able to retain soldiers at all. The Goodwaters have three children. She had to leave her newborn after four months to come here.

And this

It's a complicated situation, and many of the soldiers feel overwhelmed and under-supported. We wonder if our presence has been worth it. Have the lives sacrificed been worth it? It is a dark time. We love the country, but does it love us--we don't know.

1. Wow..that's an excellent read....I felt like I was in the tent with them..
We are paying 5 billion a month for the war and they have no supplies?

Do the nose bleeds happen because of the dry heat? I hope she comes home safely and never has to return. I hope the married couple with children gets to go home soon and never has to return.

What have we done to our children?

2. The warm weather gear in May in Iraq is classic Army stuff
:eyes:

I am just now reading all of her letters. My mother-in-law sent us part of the Roanoke paper with the March26th - May 7th letters in it.
