She is scared. She knows she is going to Kossovo or Iraq. She has no idea. She had enlisted way before the shit hit the fan and she is quite worried.

1. She probably should be worried
That's a very basic part of her brain trying to tell her something that helped our species survive a long, long time ago.

If you're the type, tell her you'll be praying for her and her comrades. If you're not the type, tell her some guy on an obscure website said he'll be praying for her and her comrades to come back whole and healthy in body and mind.

4. We had a nice talk. She was in uniform. I didn't get too "grave"
She was such a baby. I mean, she looked 17. That's who we're sending to get ambushed.

6. Army recruiters call 17 year old girls once a week until they turn 18
This happened to someone I know. She gave her name and phone number for a free t-shirt that said "US Army". She got weekly phone calls for SIX months from an Army recruiter, who befriended her and gave her advice about school, college, and of course talked her into joining the Army. She signed the day after her 18th birthday. She went to BASIC and AIT and then was shipped to Iraq. After six months, she was sent back to the US and confined to base after some kind of "incident".

3. Is she from the Texas NG?
If so, just tell her to send a letter to her commander telling him/her that she's going to help in a Senatorial campaign and can't go overseas....

If it worked for Chimpy McCokespoon, why not her?

5. Tell her to remember where she comes from
and tell her she has a right to refuse to torture people or kill civilians when they are not threatening anyone.
Mostly tell her to keep safe.
