I just heard a Colonel on Hannity's radio show say.....
Edited on Tue May-18-04 04:15 PM by kentuck
that may have found the "smoking gun" with the sarin that was reportedly discovered. Hannity was not hardly as hyped as he was yesterday but agreed with the Colonel. The Colonel, who was active duty and had been in for 29 years, said the country needed to not be divided on this war....that everything would turn out all right....that if we look back a year from now, we will not recognize the difference then and now.

1. "If we look back a year from now"
That's what the idiots said last year, and its what the numbnut Colonels in Vietnam said in 1967,1968,1969,1970,1971,1972,and 1973.

3. Exactly...
And the only thing will have changed is the number of body bags that come back.

5. how many of these discoveries have been made?
i mean honestly, we "found" a massive chemical weapons plant that ended up making bug spray, which I agree was used to whipe out millions... of flies and mosquitos.

6. Why wait a year? Let's look back now
Chimpy had just done his "Mission Accomplished" photo op on the USS Abraham Lincoln. The American wehrmacht had brushed aside the underequipped, undermanned Iraqi army and the Republican Guard had simply disappeared. Coalition forces were securing the oil fields, and though a few museums had been looted, everything looked really rosy.

Then, of course, reality set in. Arms flowed into Iraq, and suddenly we found out where the bulk of the Iraqi army had melted away. The UN headquarters was blown up, and regular attacks were mounted on anything with USA on it. As the liberators settled in to become occupiers, they began adjusting to the new reality, but the guerilla attacks always seemed to be a step or two ahead in planning and execution. The hard facts of occupying and holding a piece of territory rather than fighting to achieve it began to become apparent.

A year later, we've lost nearly 800 soldiers, and countless thousands of dead Iraqi civilians. Abuse, torture, guerilla attacks, and more and more death ensue day after day in a depressing parade of screams and blood. It's pretty hard to recognize the difference between Chimpy strutting around on the flight deck, and the carnage happening in Iraq.

How is it possibly going to get any better with a bunch of simpletons in charge who either can't or won't adjust their thinking and strategy to the situation at hand?

9. Was it Colonel Sanders?
Did we finally discover Saddam's secret cache of 11 herbs and spices?

That would be as believable as anything else on Hannity's show.
