Regime Plans Terra Attack Ahead Of November Election
In its issue of 5.17.2004, US News & World Report carried an item in its "Washington Whispers" section by one Paul Bedard entitled, From the White House, a nightmare scenario.

The article reads, in part:

White House officials say they've got a "working premise" about terrorism and the presidential election: It's going to happen. "We assume," says a top administration official, "an attack will happen leading up to the election." And, he added, "it will happen here." There are two worst-case scenarios, the official says. The first posits an attack on Washington, possibly the Capitol, which was believed to be the target of the 9/11 jet that crashed in Pennsylvania. Theory 2: smaller but more frequent attacks in Washington and other major cities leading up to the election. <snip>

The article is posted at http://www.usnews.com/usnews/politics/whispers/whisphome.htm

Note the phrases "working premise" and "an attack will happen leading up to the election."

Can it get any clearer that the Administration is banking on a terrorist event right before the November election? It should be obvious to anyone who has studied the methods of this vile administration for longer than two minutes that George W. bu$h's handlers plan to use a terror attack to get their boy "re-elected."

And from what we know about 9/11/01, it's no stretch to say that the Regime will either do nothing to stop a "legitimate" attack or simply make one happen!

They have just laid out their strategery for all to see. And the hell of it is that it's "win-win" for them!

If bu$h "wins," the PNAC boys get another four years to utterly rape the planet. If bu$h loses, it serves the American people right for not supporting the Terra Candidate, the War pResident.

Bad as I hate to support the reich-wing RAG that US News & World Report is, I'm going to buy a copy or two, just so I will have it in hand when this shit goes down.

BEFORE this "event" occurs, I am going to be all over my Congresscritters about it. I will warn them all that the "president" they so proudly and openly supported is planning to fuck us all just so he can "win" an election!

1. let's hope Kerry has thought about this and
has a strategy to deal with it...

Because it does seem certain that these guys will create a terrorist attack if they look like they're going down the tubes...

6. I hope so too cause
I've been seeing this trail balloon being floated by the regime more and more as well as the statements that the Constitution and elections will be suspended when this happens. I pray that people are listening cause I've got a gut feeling this is exactly what they are planning. They need to start addressing this NOW and explaining that another "attack" would be a MASSIVE failure of our junta who has been flitting around trumpeting how "safe" they supposedly have made us. Make this tactic backfire on them so badly that they wouldn't dare to use it. I put NO evil act beneath them.

3. The "Attack" will give them an excuse to ...
delay local elections here and there until the time limits set out in the constitution have expired. In the end they will go to court to have the elections dubbed unconstitutional. Then the Republican controlled Congress will appoint the unelected fraud for a second term. At that point I think it will be time to remove the junta by force.

9. It will most likely involve some form of mass civil disobedience ...
like a march on the white house and capitol coupled with a national strike. It will only get violent if the BFEE makes it so. We can't let them get away with their crap a second time.

4. Michael Savage was advocating internment camps for people
who oppose the war effort. I would guess that they've already been built and the database of who will be interned about 80% complete.

7. This really scares me.
Kerry could be 10 pts ahead going into the election, but if another 9/11 happens and the mediaWHORES start saying shit they did about Spain (they said the terrorists won because they ousted their pres.) then Bush could win just because of the terra attack.

Someone here on DU already saw a bumpersticker on a car that says A Vote for Bush is a Vote Against the Terrorists (or something like that).

I hope Kerry has a plan.

8. But who will they blame it on? thought we had Al-qaeda on the run?
Saddam is in our custody and his 'regime' is dismantled. We have claimed to have captured or killed most of the leadership of Al-qaeda. If they can pull off a major terror attack in the condition they are in we are in DEEEEEEEEEEEP DOO DOO!

10. Marching orders for black-op's?
One could wonder if the pathway for delivering 'marching' orders to black-op's is handled by publishing special "working premise" speculations.

This form of delivery of orders would be deniable but effective nonetheless.

Think of how PNAC publishes a 'new pearl harbor' and presto, just such an event happens with no clear-cut chain of command for delivery of orders.

With the CIA operating unmonitored profit centers like drug smuggling, there is no financial oversight whatsoever.

What I wonder is al Qaeda actually a cell of Pakistan's ISI which is a cell of the CIA. You may recall Daniel Pearls execution. Did he find evidence of a CIA providing funding to al Qaeda in connection with Atta and 911?

With operations within CIA blocked from public scrutiny by 'national security' and the hidden sources of money plus its ability to be extra national via recruiting foreign nationals for 'wet work', a part of our own government may be the ones behind the subjugation of our own country.

This may be the treasonous heart of the BFEE.

12. If you want to look into the "treasonous heart" of the BFEE,...
...IMHO, you're looking in the wrong place when you attempt to finger the CIA as the culprit here. You need to be looking at the OSP, a shadowy NeoCon, Pentagon-based intelligence organization that the NeoCons put into place when it became perfectly clear that the CIA was NOT going to report to Rummy as he had publicly wished.

You also need to remember that since the exposure of Valerie Plame and her network, the CIA has been involved in leaking massive amounts of information detrimental to the NeoCons.

Additionally, the NeoCons have been working hard to establish Tenet and the CIA as the fall-guy for the failed intelligence efforts prior to 911 and Iraq.

If you'll do a minimum amount of research, you'll discover that Tenet strongly, and repeatedly, advised Junior not to say anything about WMDs in his State of the Union speech, and Powell not to mention WMDs in his speech to the UN. The reason for Tenet's advice has become rather obvious...they suspected then that the source for the Iraqi WMD information was full of crap, and they could not verify the presence of ANY WMDs in Iraq. They also could not verify ANY links between Saddam and Al Qaeda, something else the NeoCons are still tring to establish to no avail.

None of my comments above absolve the CIA for activities they've been responsible for in the past or currently, but let's put the blame where it really lies.

Something else to think about...the last two legally elected presidents to cross swords with the CIA did not finish their terms in office. They were JFK and Nixon.

Bush says U.S. a `hard country to defend' against terror attacks
By TERENCE HUNT
AP White House Correspondent

WASHINGTON (AP) _ President Bush said Wednesday that those Americans who expect another terror attack in this country have reason for such fears. "This is a hard country to defend," he conceded.

"Our intelligence is good. It's just never perfect, is the problem," Bush told executives of more than 1,500 Associated Press-member newspapers at the cooperative's annual meeting.

The president also acknowledged that the last few violence-filled weeks in Iraq were difficult for the U.S.-led coalition and for Iraqi victims of the violence.

But he pledged not to lessen his administration's commitment to a free and Democratic Iraq.

"The Iraqi people are looking at Americans and saying, `Are we going to cut and run again?' We're not going to cut and run while I'm in the Oval Office," Bush said.

Questioned about an AP poll showing that two-thirds of Americans believe another attack is "somewhat likely" before the presidential election in November, Bush said: "I can understand why they think we're going to get hit again."

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/04/19/national/main612480.shtml
WASHINGTON -- The United States is bracing for possible terrorist attacks before the November presidential election, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice said Sunday. The opportunity for terrorists to try to influence the election, as was the case last month in Spain, appears to be an opportunity that would "be too good to pass up for them," Rice said. "I think that we do have to take very seriously the thought that the terrorists might have learned, we hope, the wrong lesson from Spain," Rice told "Fox News Sunday." "I think we also have to take seriously that they might try during the cycle leading up to the election to do something," she said. "We are actively looking at that possibility, actively trying to see - to make certain that we are responding appropriately," she said.
