From 2004 Cannes Festival website:

MICHAEL MOORE

Governor Bush. it's Michael Moore.

GEORGE W. BUSH

Behave yourself, will you? Go find real work.

1. Actually, this was Moore speaking to Jeb Bush...
...so the use of Governor is both more respectful than any Bush deserves, and correct.

2. Thanks! Still it's accurate.
Rats! I was hoping it was the other Gov. Bush, the lyin' thievin' killin' critter squattin' in the Oval Office. I am yet to call him "Presidunt" in conversation or in writing.

Well, one thing's for sure:

Bush is a CROOK!

4. Same here...
...I call him "Mr. Bush", "Bushit", anything but President Bush, but if I'm speaking, I'll soften the p and say pResident, just to be snarky. I don't think the Secret Service would let Moore get within shouting distance of GDub, let alone close enough to hear a response.

3. He still calls smirky "governor bush" as well....
to deny him the legitimacy of actually being our elected president.

5. Well, Moore's showing Shrub all the courtesy he deserves. . .
Any person is entitled to be addressed by the title of the highest office to which they've ever been elected or appointed. So it is correct and proper to refer to President Clinton, Secretary Albright, Senator Cleland, etc. And there's no denying, Dumbya was elected Governor of Texas, so he's entitled to that salutation (and no more).
