Do I dare believe in...
the "gonna vote with the winner" effect? What I mean is, will people that are unsure of Kerry, give him their vote, simply because he is, hopefully, a front-runner leading into November, and they want to be on the winning team? In any event, I sure hope so.

1. It's possible,
Although Rove is going to try to put a stop to that if he can. I mean every day Rush limbaugh says "Nobody feels any passion about Kerry. Even his own party hates him. He's a loser."

But reality is one tough nut to crack so maybe things will turn out different.

2. I don't understand. If everybody hated Kerry so much ...

then how did he win the primaries so quickly, and why is he doing so well fundraising?

4. I sorta think everybody who is ever going to listen to
Rush Limbaugh already does listen to him.

Count those votes for Bush.

As for the rest of the country, if we paint Bush for the real, life-long loser he is, other people will come along.

5. Yes and no
I agree that Rush's listeners are largely a lost cause but his arguments do trickle into the mainstream media. Constant repetition can make something unreal seem plausible--remember in 2000 when we all found out that after years of being made fun of as a boyscout it turned out that Gore was really a liar?

3. Same reason the 49ers had so many fans in the 80s...
..everyone likes a winner... But like Kerry, they were deserving of the respect they got.

(from a Falcons fan, who got their asses kicked by the niners twice a year)
