| If you can buy movie/music CDs in Iraq, why can't you buy plastic chairs? |
|
Consumerism exists in the Middle East just as it does in other regions of the world that US businesses opened up to expand markets.
Who really thinks that the only plastic chairs in Iraq are found at US prisons?

Does it have something to do with the Berg CT?

| 3. Yes, some people were saying that..... |
|
...the murder must have taken place in an American prison because Berg was seated in a plastic chair like you buy at Walmart, and "there are no Walmarts" in Iraq.

| 5. I believe it was a little more involved than that, wasn't it? |
|
Wasn't it more like:
hey Berg's wearing an orange garment and hey, there's an orange garment on the floor in that prison pic.
And hey, the Berg video takes place in front of yellow walls, and hey, the yellow walls in the prison pic are the same hue as those in the Berg video.
And hey, Berg's sitting in a white plastic chair and there's a white plastic chair in that prison pic - right across the hall from the orange garment, against the yellow wall.
A little more to it that a white plastic chair, isn't it?
And this whole "common elements" aspect just scratches the surface of the inconsistencies.
But you knew this, didn't ya?

Nick Berg had a muslim-like beard and his hairline was different than earlier pix and muslims are never fat and it wasn't really him and it was a re-enactment with a dummy and all plastic chairs come from the US and Fundie psychopaths never wear gold rings and the guy on the end had a military at-ease stance and fidgeted and white tennis shoes are the universal sign of the CIA.
Sheesh.

| 10. So what's the CT behind WMDs? |
|
I think it was blatantly clear for most DUers that no WMDs existed in Iraq from the beginning.
No one is asking anyone to stop "seeing" or "thinking," and we all know the government lies to us, BUT the theories on the Berg murder have just been out there.
There are many questions about how and why the US govt detained him, I agree. But all the wild conspiracy speculations over the actual murder...well, that's what seems a little crazy to me. JMHO...

Can in SA also as I was in that country. Well it was years ago but it should be better now to buy anything you wish if you can get it past the religious police.

| 9. My good friend works in the Middle East, including Iraq. |
|
The most westernized place is Abu Dhabi, and that's only a hop, skip, and a jump from Iraq.

| 12. because the MP's went down to the Baghdad Wal Mart |
|
when they were on sale a few weeks ago and bought them all.
The replacement shipment was on a convoy that was wiped out by IEDs, so there is a massive white chair shortage in Iraq.
It's been in all the papers. didn't you see it?
Just this past Sunday, they had a big home and garden sale and the white plastic chair ad had a big last-minute "X" over it and a note saying "out of stock."
