So who are the Bush twins planning to vote for?
Edited on Fri May-14-04 01:54 PM by troublemaker
Things that make you go "hmmm"
After saying he wouldn't attend his daughters' college graduations because he didn't want people to have to go through security, Junior will be doing at least 3 commencement speeches.

8. I suspect it's the twins' idea
they're embarrassed by him.

21. I remember reading they begged him
not to run at all. They knew they'd have to spend at least the campaign season, if not the next four to eight years, with a microscope shoved up their asses.

They're an easy joke, and the wingnuts made fun of Chelsea Clinton, but I have to be honest -- I feel sorry for them. It's hard enough to be that age without the world watching, and when you grew up around their father -- no role model for proper adult behavior, still a drunk frat boy at 41 ... sheesh. It's no wonder they 'act out.' They grew up in a nuthouse.

19. That must be it....
The security excuse never made any sense in the first place. I suppose Laura opted not to go so that Shrub wouldn't look bad. Hard to imagine that they wouldn't have at least wanted their mom there. Fact is that he is HATED with a passion and it must be embarrassing for them to have to deal with the reaction to his screwups.

Edited on Sat May-15-04 12:07 AM by Must_B_Free
It would ruin the event and turn it into a political stunt. The security would be daunting. It isn't a practical idea.

I thought of this myself before reading that this argument was essentially the one Bush used.

2. Probably not going to vote!
It doesn't seem like a very close family to me. I'm trying to remember what kind of press Chelsey got when Bill was Pres. I know it wasn't getting arrested!!!! I know she lived with them in the WH, but I don't remember too much except a few photo ops going to church.

But with Shrub, you NEVER see the girls! Woonder if they speak at all?

13. Well, there was a picture of the two of them accompanying
daddy, I believe it was to an army hospital, to visit the wounded or something like that, but we don't see them together very often.

16. Yes, but...
As I recall, the daughters were photographed together but not with Chimpy. I imagine that's a seriously dysfunctional family--Dad's a narcissist, Mom's doped to the eyeballs, daughters are godd for nothing drunks...

Although it wouldn't be out of character for Chim-Chim to not worry about inconveniencing other people, just not him and his.
