There is a shop that recently opened in NYC called American Apparel which touts itself as being "sweatshop free." and has lots of pictures and videos running of their unionized factories in Los Angeles. Their merchandise is clothing made of cotton jersey--lots of t-shirts, sweats, underwear, etc. I've bought a couple of items from them and they are well made and comparable in price to the Gap (little more expensive than Old Navy).

According to their information, using union labor only adds 30 cents to the price of a garment. I'm willing to pay that.
