I keep hearing repukes say there are over 300,000 troops fighting terror?

:wtf: I thought we only had 130,000 in Iraq... Does that mean we have 170,000 in Afghanistan?

I keep hearing this from repukes when they say that only 6 soldiers were involved in torture when there are 300,000 fighting terror. When the talking point was written did they just add another 100 grand for effect? Here's a snip from one repuke:

4. There are US troops deployed in over 100 countries

If you lump all of them into 'fighting terror', you might get that many (don't forget substantial troop numbers in Columbia, Philippines, west and north Africa, Haiti, etc...). For example, did you know we had a bunch of troops helping out the government of Chad?
