CNN: Rumsfeld trip to Iraq "expensive and dangerous."
Then they compared it to Bushs' Thanksgiving stunt. Looks like the media is mostly reporting this for what it is: a P.R. stunt.

1. ooooOh....the long knives are out for their former rock star
Herr Rumsfeld.

Suweet. Thankfully, he won't go and continue to be an embarrasment to that embarrassment of a pretzledent.

3. I am patiently waiting for one of our representatives
to state the obvious (P.R. stunt).

Who is going to step it up and start proceedings to get rid of these idiots?

January is too far off.

4. Hold it, CNN doing actual analysis?
No longer fawning before the administration, reporting breathlessly on every new development, and shouting hosannas to the high heavens for blessing us with such wise and benevolent leadership?

Massah Karl no like -- time to spank!

5. the threshold of American stupidity has been reached
they've finally gotten to the point where kissing up to the administration will be a little too obvious.

The rats are building lifeboats.

6. I hope you're right
I keep thinking that we've reached that saturation level, and I have to say that actual photographs of just how awful things are in Iraq have done much to rally public opinion, but somehow the Bushistas seem to be able to load just a little more into the stupid wagon, and it hasn't trundled off yet.

Maybe it's just no longer a paying proposition to keep propping up the corrupt Bush administration?

7. Remember they up budget request to $50 billion
The cost of this war is simply incredible given that there was no reason to invade Iraq in the first place.

I am glad that media is now being more honest in their reporting and have noticed that this was just a pr stunt.
