NATO waiting until November (more of memo on why the war is lost)
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=5118593

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - U.S. hopes that NATO would agree at its Istanbul summit next month to take a greater role in stabilizing Iraq have evaporated, diplomats and analysts say.

Worsening violence in occupied Iraq, the prisoner abuse scandal, dismay at U.S. Middle East policy, Spain's decision to withdraw its forces and military "overstretch" in Afghanistan have combined to make any prospect of the 26-nation alliance taking on greater responsibility remote.

But Gordon, speaking at the Transatlantic Center think-tank in Brussels, said there was now no prospect of NATO taking a bigger role before November's U.S. presidential election.

"The last thing the Europeans want to do is come to the June summit and allow George W. Bush to preside over the alliance as a great leader," he said. "It is unimaginable that the Europeans will go to Istanbul and give Bush whatever he wants."

It's such a bummer to have no allies, hmmm who's fault is that again? And what could they possibly be waiting for in November?

8. I'm becoming a little worried that more active steps
may be taken to be sure that we do. Some other nations
might give us an economic "October surprise". Or maybe
September to give it time to sink in.

I guess these are the "invisible" world leaders Kerry was talking about and Bush* was mocking. :-)

9. THIS IS HUGE!!!!
NATO has just signaled they will no longer work with Bush!

FUCKING A!!!

If Bush manages to steal another election, is it possible the United States could be expelled from NATO? Oh the fucking irony!

Why can't our Congress do the same?
