Fishy Circumstances and Flawed Timelines Surround American's Beheading
8) "Arab" reader flips through pages of "statement" and keeps ending up on the same page. Perhaps doesn't even known enough Arabic to recognize what page he's on?
9) "Arabs" have lily-white hands and (other exposed) skin.

10) "Arabs" have Western-style body posture and mannerisms.

More doubts surface about video.

9. Don't fall for the 'don't ask questions or you'll look like a nut'
Sorry but this administration has proven it will say and do anything to get what it wants.
Someone has to ask the questions.

What about the right when they spent millions of our tax dollars trying to 'prove' that Clinton did 'something'. No one labeled them crazy - jerks, maybe but no one brought up the 'conspiracy theory myth' to keep them in line.

2. Skin-color...

....has nothing to do with it. There are "arabs" who are light-skinned. I don't know about the rest of your theory, but you really should not include this as some kind of "proof" of anything.

4. check "your" facts.
I'm just the fricking messenger, it isn't "my" theory. I found it to be an "interesting" list of points. Make your own damn decisions.

12. Consider your language before you post.
That's why there's preview. Valid points ("light" skinned "arabs") surrounded by asinine assertions ("my" theory) weaken your point.

6. Each element alone is no cause for concern
but if you add up all the weird circumstances, one by one, then you have a scenario where it appears that "arabs" might not have done the killing at all.

It might've been staged to whip up furor (or is it fuehrer?) for Bush's self-described "crusade."

7. The man standing
to Berg's far right at the beginning of the video appears to be in a US military-style "at ease" posture. Whether this is an indication in and of itself of anything in particular, I won't speculate.

But that's one thing that jumps out at me.

11. You mean
feet shoulder-width apart and hands behind the back? Didn't realize the West had a monopoly on that one. Anything else or can I put the bullshit meter away now?

13. I don't think the west had a "monopoly" on
that one.

It's just another thing that seems out of place in a series of things that seem out of place.

10. At least one of the guys was standing
in a western military style of "at ease."

That caught my eye right away.

Plus, whoever saw such "big boned" (okay, heavy) muslim militants?

WTF does that mean-- skin color and body posture
Arabs come in all shades from albino to dark mocha...

Just :wtf: is Western body posture... that's complete BS.

As for the accent...? He sounded more Egyptian to me... but accents are mutable and many media-tainted Arabs speak in a more Egyptian manner.

I am sorry, but how they held him down was EXACTLY the way they slaughter lambs here in the middle-east.

That's the image that protected my brain from the utter horror of the video. Damn, I wish I hadn't watched. I am beyond sickened.

There are some real questions though...

the timing of the release...
the probable arrest of Berg by CIA/FBI and Iraqi police...
the pure psyops play of the video... i.e. how did it get to the website and who put it there...

16. Standing with legs well apart, for one thing
They look like they're assuming standard movie tough-guy postures -- which is not anything I've ever seen in pictures of Iraqis.

The men have a generally stocky build, unlike the more wiry, Mediterranean build typical in Iraq.

And as far as skin color goes, it might be possible to find one of two lighter-skinned Iraqis in a group of five, but not all of them. Iraq (unlike Afghanistan, which is ethnically more Central Asian) does not have a lot of pale-skinned inhabitants.

18. I will say it again... some Arabs are whiter than I am...
and I turn the color of the moon in Winter.

AN interesting possibility... MANY Iranians are VERY pale... Could this be a Shia group???

There are plenty of short stocky Arabs... this includes Iraqis. BTW, many JORDANIANS are short and stocky... so perhaps there is a zarqawi link.

I suspect this was a MIXED bunch though.

20. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder
Is a common occurrence in Western Society. Exposure to the rapid editting in television leaves us incapable of holding still for very long. The actions of some of the participants in the assault seem to be in keeping with the agitated state found in ADHD.

It is recognition of this familiar state in western citizens that cause many to react to these individuals. It is unexpected body language in middle eastern countries. Particularly from religious zealots used to extended religious prayer and chanting.

14. Arabic Journalist on CNN transcribed audio and says NO mention of al qaeda
anywhere on tape. She said pentagon had made a mistake on the transcription. (I don't know her name but she was a guest on the show between 1:00 pm and 2pm today. )

The video bore the title "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi shown slaughtering an American". The Arabic journalist also said the accent was definitely not a Jordanian accent (Zarqawi is Jordanian) but did not speculate further.

It seems that even certain elements within CNN have their doubts about the tapes origin and authenticity.

17. I question the execution procedure itself
It's been a while, and I can't find a reference now, but when Daniel Pearl was executed in Pakistan by Islamic militants, it was reported as a clean, swift cut. Not so in the case of Nick Berg.

I have to ask, was it an amateur who decapitated Nick Berg? If it was in fact al-Zarqawi, he's done this horrid deed enough times to make it quick and efficient, not the "sawing" which poor Mr. Berg suffered.

Too many inconsistencies, this being only one of them which bothers me.

19. Indeed, that's what stood out at me.
A freshly dead creature is (relatively) easily dismembered, while one that has rigor mortised, is not.

Perform the experiment yourself. Take two fresh fish (not frozen, freshly caught) and let them suffocate (say a prayer for them, as their deaths have meaning). Gut one immediately and note the resistance. Cover the other (plastic wrap) and let stand for 36 hours. Repeat and note difference.

I speculate, therefore, that Mr. Berg was already dead at the time of his decapitation.

Furthermore, the decapitation sequence begins at OSTC 2:44:12. Then it immediately jumps to 13:45:47. If we trust the OSTC, the decapitation sequence didn't occur cosequently.

21. People are noticing that there isn't a lot of blood in the video
I won't watch the video, can't bear it. But many posters have remarked that there is relatively little blood, especially considering the major arteries being cut which would of course spurt blood everywhere. Any blood spatters at all on any of the captors' clothing?

May we have a forensic expert's comments on this, please.

22. Not "degreed," but I grew up eating hunted game.
The video is not too well lit, but knowing how much blood comes out of large mammals (eg deer and hog size), I'd say there's insufficient blood.

A freshly killed mammal still has blood pressure, and without a head, blood sprays. If you use a dull blade or if you're inexperienced, you will be especially sprayed when trying to sever the spinal column.

There are four cases:
1) the executioner was proficient and the body was fresh.
2) the executioner was proficient and the body was stale.
3) the executioner was not proficient and the body was fresh.
4) the executioner was not proficient and the body was stale.

Given the absence of litres of blood (as I would expect), I believe the body was stale: cases 2 or 4. Even a skilled butcher would have a tough time with a stale hog, so it's impossible to tell if the person was proficient or not. Given the method employed (how the body was held, how the cuts were made across the neck), I would say the executioner was at least proficient with beheading animals.
