Meet the Republican pornographer.
I am sure that there is one of your partners friends that you absolutely can’t stand, I want to tell you about the best friend of one of my friends husbands. (I think that makes sense, she is my friend, her husband is friends with Terry)

His name is Terry, and he is a die hard Republican. He is a 36 yearold, twice divorced white guy, no post-secondary education, quit school in grade 10, and didn’t serve in the military. He did however manage to end up reasonably affluent.

Terry is a rabid supporter of Bush, he worships Bush and the rest of the Junta. He LOVES war, and was upset that his offer of free porn for the soldiers to the pentagon was declined, he is upset that that Bush hasn’t started a war with France and Iran. And he hates democrats who he describes as "a bunch of dykes and fags". He is one of those people who feels the need to send everyone in his address book every piece of tripe from WorldNetDaily and "Man" Coulter.

There is nothing especially unusual about that, I just described 90% of Freepers. What is unusual is Terry is a producer of hardcore pornography. Not only that, if he ever steps foot in the Philippians again, he will be thrown in jail. He provides the material for pornographic websites, and while he laments about the "dykes and fags" in the democratic party, he is apparently quite fond of lesbians.

Lets leave it at that and say Terry is quite possibly the most disgusting man alive, just to look at the guy you know he is a pig.

But the question you are asking yourself is no doubt… "WHY THE FUCK IS HE A REPUBLICAN?"

The fact that if John Ashcroft, who he describes as "a great American and a real man" would have him stoned to death if he had the opportunity seems to be lost on him, and not only that, but he claims Clinton and Janet Reno were trying to shut down the American pornography industry so the Chinese could take over.

This raises a simple question, why is an individual so rabidly supportive of a movement that would have him publicly executed given the opportunity?

Why do so many people (not just pornographers) support the Republican Party, when the republican agenda is so potentially damaging to them?

1. Probably because (as you mentioned)..........
he's reasonably affluent.

That seems to be reason enough for a great many Republicans.

2. Please don't judge all pornographers by Terry
he sounds like he's been sniffing too many peep show floors, and has suffered irreparable brain damage

3. Rascism, mysogonism and greed
These are the only things I can think that would make someone support the repukes against their very own self-interest.

Apprently the government of the Philippians frowns upon the production of films there that feature people shitting on each other.

Edit: That might be an exageration from the wife who is just about ready to kill the guy to keep her husband away from him.

5. MOST of the neocon base support them despite
the neocons' consistent record of acting contrary to the interests of those in the base, AND despite the neocons' actions being diametrically opposite of the rhetoric that hooked many in the base in the first place.

The neocons have behaved in the interests of only a few tens of thousands of Americans.

This sleaze is a perfect example of their base--ignorant, amoral, filled with hatred of "them" (whoever "them" is), venal, and hypocritical. And stupid enough to buy into their rhetoric and overlook their actions.

The neocon base gives just about as much thought to their support of the neocons as a typical pro football fan gives to which group of millionaire mercenaries to support.

He sounds exactly like pretty much anyone of the vermin in the neocon leadership.

6. Like the Soviet Communist Party, Republican members take care of their own

They give one another a hand up and ignore their failings. Dems tend to try to be unbias with respect to political party, so being a Republican doesn't really hurt their chances in making economic deals with Dems.

Imho.

8. I wouldn't be too surprised.
He sounds a bit like the anti-gubmint/Libertarian-leaning Repubs who are determined to vote for Bush despite the 'PATRIOT' act, ballooning deficit, fumbled economy, erosion of civil liberties, etc.

Perhaps these people simply can't wrap their heads around the fact that the neocons are trying to run the US full throttle towards a corporatist/fascist state. I think they fall for the anti-gubmint/pro-gun rhetoric of the right and refuse to compare it against the actual policies put in place by these very same right-wingers once they're elected. It boggles the mind.

I have never seen him in person with out a bush\cheney hat, shirt or jacket, or all three.

His affection seems to be genuine.
