6. Jon & Ken are ballastic about this....

They are for the most part right wingers on KFI in L.A. (drive home) but they're disgusted. They're slamming their normal right wing callers. Jon called one of them an armchair cowboy and he was furious. HE'S BASHING A GUY RIGHT NOW and yelling: "you don't want a free press " (regarding CBS showing the photos). They are also furious that we're in Iraq (they originally supported the war) and aren't in Afghanastan. I don't know what to think... I'm thinking that they know most Americans are going to be outraged (especially the "normal" republicans as opposed to the radical neocons)....I really don't know what to think - part of me wants to believe that they're actually saying what they think and don't have an agenda but I don't trust them.

My son and son-in-law both just got back from Iraq as members of the California National Guard this week. They have told me stories which backup the poor leadership and the lack of discipline brought on by having women in a combat unit. Their CO, a married captain, was fraternizing with female troops. Even had the nerve to transfer a guy out who was beating his time with one of them. My son told me about some female trooper who was found with about $10,000 in cash in her mattress from making use of said mattress for prostitution. The present state of affairs in the Armed Services with its "politically correct", new age look is terrible. Both my son and son-in-law did their tour, one received an Army Commendation Medal and the other was promoted to Sergeant. I am proud of them both but even more so because they did their best and their duty despite the leadership they were given and despite the idiot politicians who have forced the services to accept the social evils of civilian society.

Did Rummy mention financial compensation to these terrorist-wannabes? Oh man. Not with my tax money, bub. If anyone should pay compensation, it should be Hollywood- the master mind of all the depravity. A Hollywood/Porn tax. That's what should pay them. But we shouldn't let that scum in the streets. Why? To blow up restaurants? To kill our soldiers? Death to all terrorists! Pay their dead bodies? I was beginning to think we were too jaded to nation-build. But financial compensation was ice water on my back. What was I thinking? No we are not too jaded to nation-build. To heck with their humilation. Now I think we are too insane. Paying compensation to baby-bombers? Forget it. Death penalty or bust.

Here's another point. This crime committed on those poor little terrorists might have been genious (sic). It proved beyond the shadow of a doubt how much faith most terrorists have. Zip. None. Nadda. It's funny how they try to make those mercenaries seem like electricians who just took a wrong turn, and wound up burnt to a crisp and hanging from a bridge. Furthermore, they forget about the fact that the Clerics issued a fatwa condemning the desecration of those bodies (see, they were dead before they were desecrated--another thing the freeps forget conveniently) while it took Rummy months before he said anything about it, and still hasn't read the report on the incidents TO THIS DAY.

Uncbob, I agree. It IS pathetic. Did FDR ever apologize to Hirohito for interring the Japanese? Did Churchill ever apologize to Hitler for firebombing Dresden? I don't think so.
