Wes Clark on Meet The Press Sunday.
Edited on Fri May-07-04 07:20 PM by Anti Bush
I just noticed there is another thread on this on the
General Discussion 2004.

The fact that that he is on Meet The Press is an answer to my prayers! :bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

This is the time for Wes to really show the world why we LOVE him and have such faith in him. Time for Wes to get out all those stars and start shinning. Boy are they going to sparkle!!!! They will light his way to the Whitehouse and blind Bush and his cronies. John Kerry has got to love him.

This is Wes Clark's army...and he must really be pissed!

19. First of all, Gert didn't say any such thing.
Second, Wes can't be Secretary of Defense, sadly. He hasn't been out of the military long enough. Has to be ten years, and he retired in 2000.

33. I prefer National Security Advisor.
Closer to the President, really. And, ya know, wouldn't we all feel just a little bit safer if Wes was on the job?

GET OUT OF CLARK'S HOUSE, CONDI!! :D

Wes isn't eligible to serve in the cabinet as Secretary of Defense.

28. About 11AM
It follows Bush's radio address, which is usually 10:50AM. It's on local radio stations all over and they broadcast it usually on CNN TV and C-Span.

You can also hear it online starting 11:15AM here:

http://www.wespac2004.com/#home

It will be on the site for a week.

The breaking events and Kerry's "vulnerabilities" seem to more and more "require" that Wes be picked to be V.P.

14. He should talk with Lt Reickhoff, who did the Dem radio last week.
Reickhoff also was on a cable segment a day or so ago, and came off fine.

He does good on tv. And has a view from the ground in Iraq and Ground Zero (NY NG).

17. Wes Clark is a reminder
that the U.S. military is capable of being an honorable and professional organization given the proper commander-in-chief. Hope he blasts a military organization being "out-sourced" to private contractors, ill-equipped and poorly trained troops, lack of vision in the mission and the arrogance of this administration. This current fiasco must be infuriating to him.

22. he's the one.....
I've left every photo and every campaign button up in my office in anticipation that he would be VP.

In light of the current situation, I'd say he's Kerry's choice.

being the choice b/c Kerry folks inquired about NC TV ad rates recently. Found that interesting.

31. With everything going on:
the war, torture photos, worse to come, US troop fatalities, US troop injuries, Iraqi casualties, WMD lies, extended troop deployments, loss of American respect in the world, anger growing in the Muslim world, danger of terrorism growing, financial costs ballooning,

etc etc etc

If John Kerry does not pick Wes Clark, I will have serious doubts about his judgement & problem-solving abilities.
