The Spanish Inquisition and the abuse at Abu Ghraib prison.

When I was in Catholic school back before computers and the information highway, we were taught that the inquisitors were rogue elements in the Church who had bought clerical offices and they didn't reflect the true values of the Church as a whole. In other words they were using the offices of the Church to cover up their criminal intent and abuses.

Now, isn't this what they are saying about the abuse of the Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison?

I say that, not only should we write our Senators and Congressmen even the Republicans, not only demanding Rummy's resignation, but the whole nest of them up to King George, or start the move towards impeachment. We cannot wait for the magical election of November. We have to keep the issue up and the pressure up all the way to the election.
