The Allegheny County Board of Elections will convene to hear complaints about alleged vote-counting irregularities in the Democratic primary results in the District 6 County Council election.

The court-supervised compromise reached yesterday will allow Dominic Serapiglia, who lost the election by a scant 290 votes, to air his claims that there were errors and discrepancies in the vote count in 43 of the polling places within the council district.

In exchange, Serapiglia agreed to withdraw his lawsuit and to abide by whatever decision is made by the board of elections regarding the merits of his claims.
