Rush: Stations, Sponsors endorse the views experessed on his program

I head him say it, on KFGO out of Fargo, N.D. at 11:20 am on May 5, 2004 (today).

Just for the record, next time you complain to an advertiser. Anybody else here the Big Fat Idiot say this?

I think it's about time I got off my own fat ass and walked down to KFGO and asked to see the day-book, and started righting down all of the local advertisers in his time slot.

Based on my long-ago, past experience doing this in campaigns, I can expect to have a friedly chat with the station or sales manager about why I want to see the daybook, etc.

I genuienly hope the pop a blood vessel when I point out to them what Rush said, and that I plan to write all of their advertisers pointing out that since they endorse hate speech, bigotry and a division of our nation into Americans and Democratis/Liberals, that I will no longer be patronizing them.

I'll admit, I don't listen to him for more than the milliseconds it takes to breeze past him on the dial (or on the tv when his tv show was on) but I have a (soon to be ex-) friend who says that he says that all the time.

4. Sorts of AM radio advertisers....

It is typically pathetic - just for kicks, I will spend up to 15 min (NO MORE!) listening to the crap on the local AM station, maybe once every couple of weeks - there is typically 3 min or so of actual content (vile and offensive, of course), then an endless supply of poor sound quality ads that are typically snake oil remedies that don't work, and would be purchased only by those pathetic types that swallow Rush's brand of BS - then there is the adjustable craft-matic bed, local auto ads,...etc....would not be surprised at all if the station and those behind the ads support this idiot. IQ is about the same.
