it's only a matter of time before some of our g.i.'s will be captured and tortured and photographed and exposed and exploited to the world, and in a brutal way, bushco will have deserved it. hell, they may even desire it, considering their behavior lately.

we should brace ourselves for this eventuality. i hope i'm completely wrong here, but i fear it will happen. and the outrage on the american side will be monstrous for sure. imagine the horror of johnny and janie johnson subjected to the same things we saw being done to iraqi prisoners, or worse. imagine those images splattered all over the world. just imagine if the tables were turned.

this is what bushco has exposed our troops to. extreme danger, in the form of retaliation, righteous or not.

ask yourself, if these infamous photos going around were reversed, and it was YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS STACKED NAKED IN A PILE, and their captives wearing big smiles, what would your reaction be?
would you want revenge on the torturers? of course you would.

i hope like hell that this nightmare scenario does not soon take place, but just think about it, all the elements of such a horror have been set into place, by our great leaders and our glorious president.

1. I can only HOPE you're not right,

but you may be. One of the things that makes these abuses even more galling is the wonderful treatment received by our soldiers when they were captured, and well treated, by the "enemy." My husband was just telling me today about how an Iraqi nurse sang lullabies to Jessica Lynch as she recovered, and they all received excellent medical care. Who's supposed to be uncivilized here?

2. yes, but most folks think jessica was tortured

the story broke about her, and movies of her terrible ordeal were being prepared when the whole story turned out to be a lie.

the iraqi doctors went to great lengths to help her, as they would any injured person.

but sometimes the worst happens, as in daniel pearl's case and others. if these awful photos being shown the world over trigger acts of revenge, i won't be surprised.

Does he have any responsibility in any of this. I mean it is his war!!!!
