Some thoughts on the rape and torture prison.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1206725,00.html

<<Colonel Jill Morgenthaler, speaking for central command, told the Guardian: "One contractor was originally included with six soldiers, accused for his treatment of the prisoners, but we had no jurisdiction over him. It was left up to the contractor on how to deal with him."

She did not specify the accusation facing the contractor, but according to several sources with detailed knowledge of the case, he raped an Iraqi inmate in his mid-teens.>>

The military says it has no jurisdiction over the private contractor but it does have
Jurisdiction to invade Iraq and Iraqis??!!

We were having peace talks for Faluja and at the same time we were bombing Faluja!!

We went to Iraq to get rid of the rape and torture rooms, only to find out theyÕre just under new management.

This administration is made up of some really slick Mother F%#%ers.

The Pentagon hires these mercenary interrogators to do their dirty work knowing full well
that they are basically above the law.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1206725,00.html

These private security firms are made up of the elite of the elite, marines, rangers, green berets and seals.

The US soldiers obviously respect working with these ex elite marines, seals and rangers and would naturally follow their lead.

It cost our government a lot of money to train these ex elite soldiers but it costs even more money
to rehire them through private contractors.

ItÕs crony capitalism and war profiteering gone amok. If this isnÕt evidence enough of why privatization of the military is not good, I donÕt know what is.

1. This shouldn't be news to anyone
This is just another, albeit a more highly publicized case in a long string of such cases that have trickled to our attention since the "WAR ON TERROR" began. Remember back to the two prisoners at Bagram who somehow died of blunt force trauma while in American custody, or the Canadian/Syrian citizen that we so kindly gift wrapped for Syrian authorities to torture for nine months. I also remember reading on this board a few months back about an Iraqi man taken to a Baghdad hospital DOA by American soldiers, admitted under a false name, along with a story of him suffering from a heart attack. Complete with what were described as electrical burns on the soles of his feet. All this, some months after he was swept up in a midnight raid. During which time his family was given no word of his whereabouts or charges against him. My hunch is that IF this story isn't allowed to fall through the cracks, and IF it is investigated to its fullest, that we'll find that we're only seeing the tip of a very explosive iceberg thats going to sink alot of ships and result in the loss of alot more lives.

I donÕt think the White House can stonewall an investigation either.
