I've read a lot about how these creatures should be sent to the gallows or otherwise given a merciful dispatch.

I say no. No one learns from a quick death.

Court marshal them, and have them serve sentence in one of America's fine maximum security penitentiaries. Put them in the General Population. Don't hide who they are or what they did. Make it a reality show so everyone on the planet can see what happens to those who think humiliating people is so funny...

Humiliation will be the least of their worries.

They victimized Iraqis. Let the Iraqi courts dispense justice. That's why we want the Iraqis to try Saddam, because he tortured and raped Iraqis. Right?

Only that they be court marshal which will probably include a prison sentence. Once there, they shouldn't get any special status, just turned loose.

I went to university in Huntsville, Texas, home of Texas death row. A lot of people were training to be correctional officers and were fond of telling what they learned inside the prison, or what other guards told them.

These sub-humans would be in for a very very hard time in prison.

4. Courts Martial

AFAIK, Under UCMJ you can only be;

1. Acquitted
2. Reprimanded
3. Busted to a lower rank
4. Given a discharge (honorable, general, or dishonorable)
5. Sent to a Military prison, such as the one at Ft. Levenworth
6. Executed

No option for being put into the general prison population anywhere.
