The CNN Dow Jones numbers don't add up!
CNN reporting the Dow closing "Down 8.23" . MSNBC Closing bell shows Dow closing "Down 46.70. Is CNN trying to sugar coat more bad news? Is CNN protecting BUsh and being more "Fair and Balanced like Fox? Is MSNBC wrong?

3. OOOOPS!!
Didn't see the other thread! Speaking of seeing things though, I couldn't believe the different numbers I saw when I surfed the "news" networks!

6. Well, it doesn't hurt to have another thread.
Do you know if CNN has a live feed from the stock market that stops when the market closes? That's what I think because the numbers change constantly throughout the day. The don't just suddenly STOP!!! Besides, the S&P and Nasdaq are correct. If one index had stopped, the others would have also.

7. I don't know about the live feed!
I do know that 5 minutes after I emailed them an inquiry they changed their figure to the correct one! I fumed all the time Crossfire was on because the figure never changed! I ask CNN if they were trying to be "Fair and Balanced" like a FOX! I also praised Lou Dobbs's honesty on outsourcing and the economy!

About people making mistakes: Yes it's apparent that anyone who voted for GW Bush made a HUGE mistake! Let's hope those who did so fix things in November, like CNN did on their Dow Jones blunder today!

5. I think its the time reference.....
MSNBC shows the 8.23 figure on their site
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/

Foxnews shows the same, as does CNN.

Reuters shows the 46.70 figure:

http://www.reuters.com/

USA Today also has that figure:

http://markets.usatoday.com/custom/usatoday-com/html-markets.asp

CNN.Money has the higher figure:

http://money.cnn.com/

All the higher figures have been updated more recently.
