If you've been paying attention, you know that over 90,000 voters were scrubbed off the Florida voting rolls prior to the 2000 election. And, that Katherine Harris, Sec. of State, instructed ChoicePoint to do that. And, that over half of those voters were minority, who probably would have voted for Gore. And, that nearly all of those voters should NOT have been scrubbed on the flimsy basis that their names were just similar to, say, a person with a common name in Texas who was a felon.
(You also may know that there were different standards for throwing out votes in Florida -- "spoiled" votes were very high in areas with high percentages of African-American voters in Florida. That, too, resulted in tens of thousands of votes vaporizing. The Palast research, plus this second aspect puts the lost votes way above 100,000.)
If you haven't seen this flash animation, you'll enjoy the many faces of Katherine Harris. (Eyuck!) It's in yer face -- send to your friends!

And, if you're interested in Florida, a DUer posted some rather amazing finds earlier -- the official totals in Florida 2000 don't even add up right!

I set up a spreadsheet to keep track of the information provided by each county.
Other charts were also derived from the documents provided by each county in conjunction with online documentation from the State DOE and the various newspapers and other entities that analyzed the Election returns.
As each county in its turn sent the official results that they certified, I continued to notice differences between what the county supervisors reported for their county and what the State DOE reported for that county.
In view of the fact that the charts indicate differences in 62 counties, between what the County Supervisor of Elections certifies for their county and what the State DOE certifies for that same county I can only conclude that the Certification for the State of Florida being neither true nor correct, is false on its face and should not have been accepted.
