"Did the World Trade Center towers undergo a deliberate
power-down on the weekend prior to the 9-11 terrorist attacks? According to Scott Forbes, a senior database administrator for Fiduciary Trust, Inc. a high-net investment bank which was later acquired by Franklin Templeton, this is precisely what took place. Forbes, who was hired by Fiduciary in 1999 and is now stationed at a U.K. branch office, was working on the weekend of September 8-9, 2001, and said that his company was given three weeks advance notice that New York's Port Authority would take out power in the South Tower from the 48th floor up. The reason: the Port Authority was performing a cabling upgrade to increase the WTCs computer bandwidth.

Forbes stated that Fiduciary Trust was one of the WTCs first
occupants after it was erected, and that a power-down had never been
initiated prior to this occasion. He also stated that his company put
forth a huge investment in time and resources to take down their
computer systems due to the deliberate power outage. This process,
Forbes recalled, began early Saturday morning (September 8th) and
continued until mid-Sunday afternoon (September 9th) approximately 30
hours. As a result of having its electricity cut, the WTCs security
cameras were rendered inoperative, as were its I.D. systems, and
elevators to the upper floors."

1. Coincidence and causality are usually unrelated

...until long after the fact when conspiracy theorists start to dissect all the minutiae.

Oh, I think the Bushies knew what was going to happen and let it play out. I also think Flight 93 was shot down. There is ample evidence for both. Beyond that, I see a lot of coincidences.

2. Eerily similar to the coincidence after coincidence that was the

Bloodless Coup of 2000.

I remember reading something (wish I could remember what it was or the link) which made an interesting point.

There wewre something like 15 quantifiable "breaks" that occurred during the "election" (and I use the term loosely). If indeed it was random happenstance, then roughly half of those breaks would have gone to Gore and half to Bush.

This person went on to analyze everything and found (surprise surprise) that all 15 "break factors" went Bush's way.

Further, a statistical analysis of spoiled votes for both Bunnypants* and President Gore showed a normal distribution curve for Bunnypants and a flatline serrated graph for President Gore.

Clear statistical evidence of an outside influence.

..to drill supports, plant charges and wire the whole business up for a controlled implosion. Are you suggesting people did this in the middle of a raging fire within half an hour without detonating the explosives from the heat of the fire?

Get real.

The collapse happened the way they said it did. You can easily see the outer supports fail just before the collapse. It was the fire, folks, not a superhuman team immune to fire who planted magic explosives.

6. A Computer System Power Down

Would also cause the admins to run some preventitive backups of databases running on servers in the towers. These backups would then be taken off site immediately following, minimizing data loss from the 9-11 attacks. Lucky them.

13. Lone Gunman TV Show Parallels WTC PLot

After nearly a month, I'm still waiting in vain for anybody to mention X-Files creator Chris Carter's prophetic "Lone Gunmen" episode about the CIA perpetrating an apparent terrorist act by taking remote control of an airliner and crashing it into the World Trade Center. It's as if this heavily promoted TV series -- which premiered March 4, 2001 but cancelled after 13 episodes -- never existed.

Relevant passages from the following synopsis of "The Lone Gunman" TV series pilot episode:

"...the Gunmen become more and more entangled in a terrorist plot (Scenario 12-D), eventually facing off against a governmental power known as Overlord...get on the targeted aircraft in an attempt to sniff out the
bomb...but unfortunately, there's no bomb on the airplane. It's being
controlled...by someone else -- Overlord...the air scene of the plane
approaching the World Trade Center was actually shot by the aerial
photographer from a helicopter, so the skyline and approach you see is
real.

16. Bandwidth upgrade does NOT need power down

These are two separate technologies.

Bandwidth increase is data cables. This has nothing to do with electrical power plugs.

And this is not rocket science. In fact, anyone impacted by this should have known this is a fake excuse.

Either a bogus reason was given to the companies, or this is a complete red herring.
