PBS alert - Weather Underground film tonight
http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/weatherunderground/

Academy Award nominated documentary on the Weather Underground will be shown tonight on PBS's Independent Lens show. Edited from 93 minutes down to 80 minutes (I don't know what they are cutting - there is only about 30 seconds of nudity. The violent scenes are crucial to understanding the Vietnam War so I hope those weren't cut out.) We recently had a screening of the video here and invited Mark Rudd and two other Weather Underground people to speak and share a forum with some younger activists. Some great discussions about tactics vs. strategy. One of the big questions: If your strategy is to educate and convince more people that your view is correct, do your tactics further that goal? Anyway, I recommend the film to all activists of any age, and urge you to see the full 93 minute version.

2. Is this about the weathermen of the sixties?
 They were cutting edge at the time and probably still are at least their tactics.

3. yes - those Weathermen
the faction that took over the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in the late 1960's. There is a lot of info on the Weathermen at the PBS link in my original post.
