Bremer sounds like O'Neal and Clarke

"The new administration seems to be paying no attention to the problem of terrorism. What they will do is stagger along until there's a major incident and then suddenly say, 'Oh, my God, shouldn't we be organized to deal with this?' That's too bad. They've been given a window of opportunity with very little terrorism now, and they're not taking advantage of it. Maybe the folks in the press ought to be pushing a little bit." Paul Bremer - February 26, 2001

1. Great quote...it just makes me wonder...
...what HIS book will have in it...that is, once he's replace by Negriponte.

2. If he was so critical of the administration back then,
what has happened to him? Is it possible that he was given the position he has in the Iraq to stem the flow of his critical observations? In other words, was he co-opted into all his Iraq involvement to distract him, to confuse him, or to shut him up?
