What's up with the Memory Hole?
I've been trying to visit the site (www.memoryhole.org) for the last couple of days to see the FOIA pictures of soldiers being returned home, but it won't load. Is it just thrashed from all of the traffic, since the story is relatively hot, or is there something more going on? And are the photos mirrored anywhere else? Just thought I'd ask,

Susan

PS: I'm glad the RW has made such a great big deal over the photos, since they keep getting published in relation to the complaining. My dad is a Navy Vet, and he's been hoping for these pictures -- says returning "Human remains pouches" in the middle of the night shows much less respect for families than these photos.

2. It happened in the morning - while Unfiltered gave the URL on the air

3. I can't get it to load either
Sometimes I wonder if the "powers that be" can disrupt things like this that they deem as unflattering to their agenda...

4. Awesome info, thanks!
The denial of service doesn't surprise me. Thanks for the heads up on the mirror.

The constant irony of the RW astounds me. Defend the constitution! But not if somebody disagrees with us! In that case, their constitutional rights are null & void.

:S

Thanks again,

Susan

5. We really ought to support Kick
He's done some good work, and there's much potential good for him left to do. I'll donate when I can get some money together.

6. FYI
maybe www.memoryhole.org works but www.thememoryhole.org is the website, and yes i think it's been undergoing a DOS attack.

8. Intentional concentrated "hits" on a site.
Kind of like having a bunch of phones speed dial one number. Only so many internet users will get throught at any given time if a site is being accessed by many users at once.
