1. Fan-effing -tastic!
He basically compared Fox to Al Jazeera! The longest stunned silence since Bush was asked an unscripted question about his failings!

10. What the hay is your name about, might this Texas lady ask?
Edited on Wed Apr-21-04 10:35 PM by efhmc
Are you blaming us for that idiot? If so, you might want to contact Anne, who said that (omg I am going to sound like a repuke now but she did say this) Clinton was the reason she lost. I would disagree slightly. I think none of us took rove and bush seriously enough because he was such a miserable failure and so laughable. However, please explain your name if you have a mind to,

29. Cut him some slack--he's from Florida!
If the Floridians had been serious about getting their votes counted, the phony Texan would be just another dumbass ex-governor.

(Texas has had some good governors, but you must admit we've had our share of idiots!)

6. Poor Jon. He looked as if he was at the dentist.
He couldn't wait for that interview to be over. That Gibson fellow is a total prick. Completely unapologetic about Fox's RW bias. "We're right and they're wrong." Nice stuff.

9. I knew that Jon was setting him up from the first question.

That was great!

And all Gibson would say was "We are American, and they are Anti-American"

This clown lumps together Belgium, Canada, and South Korea as countries that are all different and "hate AMerica"...to me that just makes the case that we are doing something wrong to have those 3 unrelated countries all hate us.

That guy should be managing a lemonade stand, not selling books.

32. "...tiny little countries, like Belgium, Canada, and South Korea..."
I'm still laughing! Canada is TINY? Two seconds of Googling and, volia!

Land mass (in square kilometers):
Canada = 9,976,140
USA = 9,629,091

http://www.ga.gov.au/education/facts/dimensions/compare.htm

If this is the best Fox and the right can do, that's really f**king sad. One thing's for sure -- Gibson's basic cognitive abilities are certainly tiny!

13. Okay, I'm goanna defend John Gibson a little bit here...
I don't think he's that much of a republican shill. He just acts like one on Fox, he probably had to get that way or he wouldn't get a job there. I remember watching him a lot when he had a show on MSNBC during the Clinton years. He would have guests from the left and right and I always got the impression that he leans to the left. Now that he is with Fox, he has to lean right or no job. There is another guy that is on Fox now, I can't remember his name, he has dark hair and he sort of look like Sean Hannity, but he was on Court TV and he definitely leaned to the left. I don't know how he sells himself on Fox but I'm betting he has to lean right just like John Gibson.

BTW, Jon Stewart was great as usual.

Yes, if he really isn't a republican shill, that would make him a sellout. It would also make him a money hungry whore because of that book he wrote.

Gibson is a wrong wing sell out whore. Faux is not the only place to find work, he chose to go there.

Every faux propagandist is on the list to be demonized after the bushler gang is run out of town. They are anti-American traitors.

22. Sorry. I cut no slack for folks that will prostitute their journalistic
ethics for a job. The kind of behavior these guys are supporting is treasonous. I an fervently hoping that all of the whores for Bush's treason will be on the dock trying to defend their lives against charges of treason and crimes against humanity. They knew what they were doing. So did Goebbels.

Edited on Wed Apr-21-04 11:10 PM by kskiska
during the impeachment. I wasn't nuts about him, but I wouldn't have pegged him a right winger back then. He was nowhere near as obnoxious as he is now. I can't stand to watch him. He's so over the top hateful.

24. "Now that he is with Fox, he has to lean right or no job."
Gibson's repuke. How can I tell? I just got through reading a thread started by a guy whose department is getting contracted out in a couple of months and he's the only one who knows because he's the only being kept on the staff. That person is in no way set up as well financially as John Gibson is. Yet he (or she) is agonizing over the moral dilemma of being expected to keep his co-workers in the dark about their impending unemployment and is seriously considering walking the plank and warning his co-workers.
Gibson, had he been a Democrat (or even a journalist with integrity) would have taken a lower-paying job rather than join the propaganda machine of the worst...president...ever.
Gibson has his faustian contract with Faux and the devil will have his due. :evilgrin:

GIBSON in his Court TV and Geraldo days didn't seem like a wingnut, but then, WhoreALDO is now a Faux jerk, who woulda thunk it. Fergit Chris WALLACE, he looks like his arteries hardened more than his ancient dad's. There was another one that was a shock somebody mentioned above, dark-haired....will look it up on the arrggh Faux website.

33. I was disappointed with the interview
The point about Fox being idealogially driven was good, but Stewart missed many opportunities to challenge this guy.

Nobody pointed out that, gee, could it be decades of U.S. interference in the affairs of other countries, the overthrowing of governments, the outright murder and training of murderers of many people not toeing the corporate/pro-U.S. line, the starting of wars that are blatantly power/oil grabs, gosh, maybe, just maybe, those have given us a little bit of a PR problem around the world? Hmmmm ...
