2. It seems to me that the responses from

the 'press corp' folks are talking about the Q&A's given by the WH Press Sec, not the ones given by *.

There seems to be two different things being discussed on that particular blog entry.

3. If the White House doesn't pre-approve questions,

it certainly pre-approves those who get selected to ask their questions. Guess who the White House chooses?
How long since Helen Thomas received the bush* seal of approval for easy questions?

why?

They are so afraid of losing their 'access' that they'll lie every bit as passionately as the White House does.
