Okay, now I'm really confused.
You have Bush supporting the Jewish state of Israel against the Palestinians on a controversial land issue AND, you have the Saudi Arabians willing to fix oil prices for Bush prior to the presidential election in order to ensure a Bush win.

Just how is it that Bush can have such strong loyalties with both Israel AND Saudi Arabia? Doesn't Saudi Arabia have loyalties to anyone in the Middle East caught in the conflict with Israel? Or is 9/11 Saudi Arabia's subtle way to let the U.S. know that not everything is kosher with the U.S.?

I'm just having trouble keeping score here.

1. Because the Saudis have personal ties to the Bush family business?
Money over everything else for some people.

3. And maybe Saudis who aren't benefitting from the trickle down effect
are responsible for 9/11?

2. It's Royal family of Saudi Arabia that support Bush
Many of the people do not support Bush or the Royal family...a la Osama.

5. Quick rundown.
This is a broad generalization.

1) The Sauds LOVE the US dollar. For now. They'll do as bidden.

2) Zionists have arguably *the best* lobbyist organization in Washington. For more info on that, read this book:
What Price Israel?

They typically get what they want.

9. This is going to be a loaded question:
Are Jewish Americans to Israel what Irish Americans were to Ireland?

Let me explain: Back in the mid-90s, when I first discovered the net, I listened in on cross-over arguments from the Irish newsgroups and it became very clear that the Irish on the newsgroup were not fond of Irish Americans. Their reason was that Irish Americans donated to organizations such as the I.R.A. without really understanding how it only escalated the violence, and made things worse for them in Ireland.

Are the strong Israeli lobbyists in Washington guilty of the same thing?

10. The Israeli lobbyists are certainly
guilty of it, but there are an awful lot of American Jews who do not at all approve of what Israel's leaders are doing, nor do they approve of its current policies.

7. My two cents is that.............
Bush's loyalty is 100% to Saudi Arabia, and he only ever mentions Israel because he's told to, primarily because of the support Israel finds among the Fundamentalist Christians who make up a big portion of Bush's base.

Also, Bush likes to say the word 'terrorist', and Israel's situation allows him to say it as much as possible.

12. Christians only need Israel
so all of the Jews can convert to Christianity at the moment of the Second Coming.

There was a thread on here a few weeks ago asking if it were possible for somebody to be anti-Israel (current Sharon government) but not anti-semetic. The answer is, of course, yes. The question that didn't get asked is, "is it possible to be anti-semetic and pro-Israel." In the case of the fundi nutjobs, the answer is an overwhelming YES.

The US is a crack-whore for oil. We will blow anybody who is willing to feed our habit. Chimpy, in this case, is the pimp.

13. And the fervent fundies
who are such big supporters of Israel are often horrendously anti-semitic and have nothing but contempt and disdain for Jews. The only reason they support Israel is because of their particular biblical interpretation, Israel must be a nation again and must start Armageddon in order to bring about the prophecy of Revelation.

17. It does. But what I don't understand is how the Royal family has
managed to hold control for this long.

If you keep the Royal's interests separated from the common people's interest in Saudi Arabia, you can almost begin to understand the reasoning behind the terrorist attack on the WTC. Then it would appear that the Saudi terrorists wanted to drive a wedge between the U.S. and the Royal family.

If that's the case, perhaps we need to temper our attacks or be sure we direct them more precisely?

20. US contractors (mercenaries) have been keeping them in power for decades
Thats how it is done. If you need links to see who the companies are that are supplying this muscle I will Google it up for you no problem. But if you want to do it yourself just enter "US security companies in Saudi Arabia" and see what you get.

14. Don't be fooled....
Bush's support of Israel is being pushed by the extremists on the Christian right who do NOT want a Palestinian state on the West Bank. Revelations has it that the Second Coming must find the region in Jewish hands...(and of course, 2/3 of the Jews will then convert and the rest will die.). That's why there has been no push to move the Road Map towards any fruition. Israelis who don't see through this are fools.

The Saudi support is self explanatory. The House of Saud and the House of Bush go back a long way......

As long as the fundamentalist muslim movement has Israel and the US to fight, their swords are not turned towards the despotic rulers so prevalent in the ME. Remember the saudis were paying off bin Laden to attack others and leave them alone.

The saudi royal family gets a pass from their muslim fundys due to the US/Israeli distractions, (with a bonus of increased prices for a while and their investments in the industrial/military complex such as the Carlyle group. You can also bet that there are many saudi monetary interests to be divvied up in iraqi oil.)

The bush royal family gets iraq, it's oil and huge contracts for their supporters, (with a bonus for their oil buddies of increased prices for a while.)

Israel gets military, monetary and political support from the last standing super power.

It's a win-win business deal and all it costs the perps is the lives of a few commoners and the treasure of many commoners.

18. But is it possible that the Saudi's behind the WTC intentionally wanted
to drive a wedge between the Saudi government and the U.S.? The terrorists knew their identities and citizenship would eventually be discovered and that fingers would be pointed to Saudi Arabia. That's a given. Is it possible that what is happening, is precisely what they wanted to happen?
