How will anti-globalization demonstrations hurt * ?

How will anti-globalization demonstrations hurt * ?
There's an IMF/World Bank protest next week, and the G8 will be held in Georgia this summer. If these protests turn ugly, it would be Chicago '68 all over again, except I'm wondering what the political outcome would be. Would it destroy * politically, or would he be able to spin the violence and say that a bunch of radicals were causing trouble?

According to the media, the protesters are 'anarchists'.

At least that's what they said in Seattle.
