7. Showing the rivers would be nice too.

They are extremely important in the scheme of things (and always have been). I have a map with all the oil fields too, which is very interesting. I don't know how to upload it though.

Tikrit: 98 miles NNW from Baghdad
Al Kut: 100 miles SE from Baghdad
Fallujah: 36 miles due west from Baghdad

9. Having been there

I know where they are, but that doesn't help those who haven't. I suggest finding a better map with these cities and the Euphrates and Tigris rivers shown.
