If President Kerry unilaterally apologized to the world
and tried the cabal for treason, do you believe that middle east and European governments would align their interests to extricate the US and Iraq from this quagmire?

If I were representing the UN and NATO I would insist that the criminals be tried.

Its interesting to have our prior belief confirmed: The US did not sign the International Criminal Court agreement because it knew that it would be indictable.

1. Perfect. For THAT they planned ahead.
I'm hearing about the secret war planning and all I can think is they had so much time and that was the best they could do?

2. I think the mere fact that Kerry could go to the UN and announce
that, much to the relief of the entire world, the US is Under New Management, that would make a world of difference. I'm convinced that we as a country will get nowhere with anybody elsewhere, while bush is still in the White House.

They distrust and dislike him as much as we do, here. Many of them warned him, and tried to stop his juggernaut for war, as we did. Now, they're probably savoring his getting at least a few just desserts. They're all sitting there saying "we told you so" and "you made this bed, chucko, so you go lie in it" and "this is YOUR mess, georgie, YOU clean it up." Nobody's gonna want to help him. Nobody's gonna want to sign on with him. He's a pariah to them, widely regarded around the world as a bigger threat to peace and stability than Saddam ever was. And this fact therefore drags all of us Americans down with him, regardless of our objections. Unfortunately, we're ALL stuck, and screwed, because of him. THAT REASON ALONE is enough to replace him with Kerry. We HAVE TO be able to do business with the rest of the world. And now we can't, because the rest of the world doesn't like bush - with good reason.

4. When Kerry becomes President, he can do all of that
and not lose face anywhere in the world. The cabal should be tried even if in absentia in the Hague.

5. I think I would have Bush/Cheny et al tried for conspiracy
then tried for acting on the conspiracy (Iraq Invasion) and obstruction of Justice (stalling 9-11 commission).

Let the international court ask for his arrest and charging for war crimes.

7. I think that charges based on 9/11 have the best chance
of sticking

8. Would he also apologize for enabling the war
or continue standing behind his vote?

Kerry is, honestly, on no moral ground to apologize.

He has not apologized to the American people, to the Iraqis, to the dead US soldiers- how could he dare 'apologize' to the world? Kerry doesn't seem to believe he has anything to apologize for, and THAT, is unforgivable. To this day he stands behind his vote and says it is not his fault for giving that sociopathic idiot-in-chief a lit book of matches but Bush's fault for burning down the house.

I expect a little more from a Dem and Kerry better start delivering FAST if he expects people to be lulled by ABB.

Standing behind Sharon right now, of all times, is too revealing for words from the 'Liberal" who handed Bush the book of matches.
