guarded kudos for the--gasp!--media
I thought the journalists asked pointed questions. A moderately competent would-be ruler would likely have been able to spin them, especially considering tha tall were pretty much dead on the whole point of the press conference in the first place. Had L'il George been even moderately competent, we would likely be characterising the questions as "softballs," but really they were basically the questions that needed to be asked.

God. It was like watching someone have a seizure or something. I absolutely hate the cretin, but it was creepy watching his total incompetence.

1. The press conference reporters di their job, but the analysis even the
mixed WP review "long on resolve, short on details" (posted here) was too polite. The David Sanger analysis for NY Times, was the worst kind of whoring that we had to deal with months after 9-11. Comparing the Speech/Press Conference to Teddy Roosevelt.

2. Yes, I would like to see at least someone note what a complete
embarrassment to this country his performance was.

7. I agree.
My original post was strictly about the questioners at the "press conference."

The post-conference "analysis" has been ridiculous.

4. I have to agree
They really whacked him with questions tonight and had him sweating bullets for the first time. I nearly pissed myself with glee. My Republican friend couldn't stay in the room - he left really pissed off.

5. From what I gathered
the media immediately went into full spin mode after trying desperately to make chimp appear to have done a good job. My morning rag has a complete puff piece on the "press conference" and asscracks perjury (I mean testimony).

6. Yeah? Well their next day coverage has squandered any opportunity
to have made any change. They could have taken advantage of this horrible performance - BUT THAT WOULD BE UNAMERICAN!!!!

The press can kiss my ass! They failed again!
