It is time for us to demand that * resign.
Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 01:34 PM by gristy
It is time for bush & cheney to resign. No impeachment necessary. Their crimes are being exposed every day. They have lost the support of the majority of their citizens. They are losing the support of our Congress. They can no longer effectively govern. The truth is finally coming out and clearly supports such a demand. The trickle of truth in the mainstream press will become a flood as the rats jump the sinking ship and self-preservation ultimately prevails over all else, including any loyalty to their party.

It is time to publicly demand the resignation of this cabal.

1. He didn't have the majority of America on election day
Given how the repukes back up this living horror, I doubt there will be a resignation, impeachment, or anything else even remotely rational.

5. I've changed my post headline to be more clear
that it is time for us to demand his resignation. Rather than that it is time for him resign.

It will send a clear signal that Bush's policies are rejected by the people.

7. Is there a way?
Yes, I'm asking the exceptionally intelligent people on DU (sans moi)?

H_ll, I'd go door to door to collect signatures, as would my entire family, friends, and coworkers.
If I'm being irrationally exuberant, it's :yourock: gristy's fault. :hi:

8. I think it was Chomsky who said that Bush & Co will be impeached
only when there are millions in the street demanding it. We need hundreds of impeachment demonstrations with tons of letters sent to congress. We need a way to by-pass the fake news media so people can get the information on what's going on and why.

We need a new revolution.

9. I say Impeach
The problem is the House is controlled by the repugs. It's not going to happen. Bush will not resign! Hell, i wouldn't be surprised if he lost the election in Nov, and refused to leave the White House.

12. Well clearly
It would be a council of wise elders selected from the posters at Democratic Underground. I mean what other solution could there be?

18. The "wise elders" is a phrase from Haiti...
It's the group of puppets we've set up to help lend an air of legitimacy to the new regime we engineered. You can find out all sorts of interesting things from reading the news.

(Curses, comrades, she's found us out. Let us repair to the cellar, where will drink vodka (& fine Cuban rum) as we plot revolution!)

17. There's a Constitutional process, but
you're right, that would only lead to Cheney. Wonder how far down the right-of-passage we'd have to go.
