? Why did bush* go to his pickup truck to call Dr. Rice?
I'm serious. Don't tell me they don't have a secure phone at the Crawford house. It seems very strange to me that the news organizations reported the shrub went to his pickup truck and called the Dr. on his cell phone.

3. Let's see why would a married man leave his house to call another woman?
Think about that for a second. If I told my wife that I had to go out and sit in my car to make a phone call

a) she would hit the roof (not that she does really)
b) she would want to know who I was calling

Seriously when I heard that little tidbit of info the first thing I thought was that it sounded like a guy carrying on something behind his wife's back ("Like a normal couple" W said about his midnight flight with Condi to Iraq)

Then I read that Outdoor Life Network is filming a show with W and Roland Martin fishing this weekend. This is to portray W as a sportsman to the sportsman crowd. Then it hit me, they wanted to remind everyone that W is a pickup truck kinda guy

riiiiiiiiiight :eyes:

9. Yep but come on really what is more important?
On Saturday, Bush and his father were to go fishing at the ranch's bass pond with a crew from the Outdoor Life Network's "Fishing with Roland Martin."

The White House approached the network about coming to film Bush, who is eager to cultivate an image as a sportsman with the millions of voters who hunt and fish. The crew was to bring its own boat for the shoot on the small pond.

27. "Fishing" for bass in a small pre-stocked farm pond isn't going to impress
any real sportsmen. Chimpy might as well shoot fish in a barrel.

Either he figures that most Americans are stupid, or he himself is too stupid to understand how most Americans will react to this.

28. Bass pond? Holy shit.... nah, it couldn't be.....
I remember bass fishing on a private pond somewhere west of Waco Texas in the late 70's. Good fishing too, just kept reeling them in until we caught all we wanted.

Did the Bush Criminal Empire own the land at the time? The thought of actually spending a day on the enemy's turf (even though I didn't know it at the time) is making me a little queazy :puke:

29. bush didn't buy this ranch(?) until 1999 when Rove decided
he would look like a good ole boy. It's a 10,000 square foot house. Not a small little ol ranch in west tx.

11. Do you remember Jimmy Carter during the Iran hostage crisis?
He refused to leave the White House while our people were being held hostage. I recall that he campaigned almost exclusively from the Rose Garden.

5. Doesn't EVERY average "Joe" phone from his pickup?
Just another reason to turn in your cell phone.

Hey, maybe he'll hit something because he isn't paying attention to his driving? You know he never wears his seat belt: every time he drives up to the cameras, no belt.

Busy man, got things to do. This thing plays well here in SC where his chickhawk alpha supporters are. It probably looks silly in other parts of the country.

.

.

I suspect it's not really a "pick-up" but an SUV.

But they wouldn't want to use THAT word.

Anybody know?

What cell phone company put up a tower just for Bush?

I am sure it's not T-Mobile. They wouldn't put a tower near me, no matter how much I complained.

Lucky I moved.

18. Athough you are a TrueAmerican, you are not shrub*
You have not pre-emptively invaded another nation nor did you steal an election. You didn't give tax breaks to the wealthiest folks in the country, nor did you crush the environmental movement. And when is the last time you stood by and allowed terrorists to attack your nation?

20. Hmmmm...maybe the house is no longer secure. I have long thought
the true purpose of the Ranch was to have a surveillance-free place to plot their nefarious deeds. So it was never surprising to me that "events" occured after his "vacations"

21. Just some random thoughts on this issue
"The Great Divider" can't remember Condi's number so he used his phone book in his cell phone.
He's not allowed to smoke in the house.
He's banging her.
He wanted to listen to the rest of his Lynard Skynard Greatest hits tape.
He believes that everything is a photo-op and the house was a mess.
He was always does what Karl Rove tells him to do, no questions asked.
