Every poll in April has Bush at 43-49 percent approval EXCEPT

drum roll, please ... CNN/Gallup! They have him at 52 percent, while other polls done at the same time (CNN/Time and American Research Group) have him at 49 (an all-time low) and 46 percent, respectively. See http://www.pollingreport.com and http://www.americanresearchgroup.com

It seems CNN/Gallup tends toward extremes. Remember, they were the ones who had Kerry ahead by 12 at one point, when no other poll had him ahead by 9, and most had the lead less than that. I guess with all the polls out there, there's bound to be an occasional one with him above 50 percent, but his average is probably 47 or 48.

1. ABC/Washington Post, Fox, and CNN/Gallpup

They tend to rate bush higher than others.

ARG and Zogby tend to be lower.

Harris CNN/Time, and Newsweek in the middle.

"Prof. Pollkatz" used to show them all on a graph which gave an excellent overview of where we stand at any point in time, but he stopped updating months ago. I feel like I need a fix without him.

Anyone else graphing various polls?
