Only in America could something so wonderful happen - when a close advisor to the president should come forward and testify and that the president himself should be interviewed!!!!!!!??????????????????

2. because of the implication in his message
He was almost defending rice and shrub - saying that only in america etc...as if this was done voluntarily and they should be praised for it. That is NOT the case.

3. I didn't see/hear him say that, but it could have been appreciation for
the fact that they were finally persuaded (if not politically compelled) to do so...
YMMV

4. He could have meant it
as a dare to the President. Condi testified, now why don't you?

I would love to see Clinton testify in public. What a smackdown that would be!!

6. I've often viewed Roemer's heels as somewhat rounded.
He's just too cozy with the right for my taste.
