It's going to be a long six months....
I think that we are all afraid that Bushco, with their absolutely immoral use of power, will do something to stay in power. But, I don't think that they would be fighting this hard, if they really did have it all sewed up. I think, thank God, that there are still some people in power who would raise holy hell, if Bushco pulled some shit. And they are finding their voices now.

Please, please, let us NEVER become so complacent again, as Democrats, that we see something like this ever again.

1. You're telling me.....
My partner in threatening evening news blackouts if I can't refrain from going into apoplexy during the broadcast. God help us all!

6. You're "partner"? Are you gay?
If so, I am not putting you down. I am just curious. My degree is in psychology, and my interests tend towards biochemistry and physics, but I think that the whole area of homosexual psychology and sociology has been totally forgotten. This is a whole area of our society that we know virtually nothing about, after all...

Are you gay? And what is that like? Do you tend to mirror, in your actions, in terms of your relationships, heterosexual relationships?

Please feel free to email me privately.

2. Democrats (citizen democrats) were not complacent during the last
elections. We voted in larger numbers that the republicans, in fact, Al Gore won the popular vote. It was Gore and Lieberman that rolled over and played dead.

Democrats haven't been complacent since either. It's because they haven't that we know as much as we do about the bush* administration. It's not so much about complacency as it is about the criminal behavior of those who are running this country right now.

By the way, just tried to use spellchecker for the first time. If, when it comes up, and there's no words in the box, does that mean that you've spelled everything correctly?

4. This is the most politically active I've ever been

I will be contributing this year to the democratic candidate.
I have joined my local democratic club. I am getting tired of
seeing shrub propaganda and lies. Now I can't watch TV without
seeing a stupid bush campaign commercial. Imagine, I have been under bush's dictatorship for a long time living in texas. I do not want to see or hear him anymore. ARE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AS STUPID AS TEXANS?? I hope not !!

7. God bless you......and please don't ever stop working for what you believe
in........It is a lifelong piece of work, I think.

And...I am from Texas, too. I have never liked Bush, though.

5. The thing is, the Bushies have this facade of hapless incompetence
But then you realize that underneath that goofy surface lurk deep pools of pure evil. And you can't help but get all freaked.

However, the real truth is that under those pools of pure evil, they're *genuinely* incompetent.

Every so often, I start to worry, "What if they learn from their mistakes and turn it all round by November?" But then I remember this is the *Bushies* we're talking about, and I know that they will keep shooting themselves in the foot forever. And I relax. :-)

8. I worry about the people who are so busy making a living that they cannot
pay attention to what is really going on, though. You know?

I am lucky. My husband "takes care of me," and I am free to follow the news, and to keep myself and him informed. But what about the rest of the people? Do they just take the big waves and hope that no other big waves are coming?
