I don't know for sure, but it sounds like it.

If they want a real war, they'll make Fallujah Lidice. Let's hope they don't.

Lidice was razed, men and women executed, some children were sent to Germany, while others were sent to the camps.
And the people of Lidice didn't have the ability to fight back, like the people of Fallujah have.
A better comparison would be the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Fallujah may wind up being carpet-bombed out of existance, but not yet. And we're gonna pay a higher price than the SS did.
I hope the Iraqis realize that when they start saying "Hey, where are the Americans?" they should "Look Up, for thy DEATH draweth nigh..."

They had no idea of what was happening, they had no reason to think that the SS would do what it did.

Can't say the same about the folks in Fallujah can they?
It bothered the crap out of me when I heard shit like "Make an example" and "heavy consequences". First thing that popped into my mind was "Lidice... They're gonna burn that sucka to the ground!"

I feel that the comparison to the Warsaw Ghetto, was more appropriate.
Those resisting in Fallujah, are outgunned, but they are still fighting, and I think, will fight for as long as they can.
But even if the Marines finally win, what then, unless they kill the entire population of the city, resistance will rise again at some point. And this will be repeated again.
