Poll question: Would calling Kerry JFK,II help him or hurt him?
I'm really interested in people's opinion on this.

I don't want to do anything to hurt our candidate, but his initials are JFK and he is the second JFK to run for the office of President.

Sorry, polls are turned off at Level 3.

2. Kerry has personally asked the campaign not to use 'JFK.'
He prefers JK because he has always refused to capitalize on his idol's legacy.

3. Just not fair to Kerry.
I was a freshman in college when Kennedy died. Today's college freshman was born in 1985 or 1986. With all respect for President Kennedy, he means as much as Abraham Lincoln to a really large number of people... an exceptional person who is part of history.

Senator Kerry needs to carve out his own niche in history. I'm sure he will, but I don't think it's fair to expect him to live up to a legend.

4. he's not like JFK, and "II" isn't part of his initials
i don't know if it would hurt him, but it would not be accurate to say he's like JFK. the only thing they have in common is that they are not with the republican party.

5. J.F.Kerry
YES Senator Kerry needs to carve out his own niche in history.
But here some of the things the Man has in common with J.F.K.

1. From the same State.
2. A Senator
3. A Catholic
4. For equal rights
5. A Democrat
6. Was in the Military. And both men were hurt in small boats.

Not in common as far as we know:

Womanizer

So may-be it wouldn't be right to use J.F.K, but there is nothing wrong to use J.F.Kerry. I feel he is our J.F.K.

6. Americans have forgotten their history ...
The founders of America fled the European monarchies and dynasties determined to create and live in a country that was free of birth-right based power. Yet in the last generation America seem to be embracing the very birth-right heritage that its founders tried to flee. JFK I, II and G. Bush Jr et al signify entitlement by birth right -- that lineage has become more important than individual substance. If just plain "John Kerry" is sufficient, then I urge you to read the Bush Dynasty.
