Does the term "bad guys" bother anyone?
Frankly, I find the use of this term frightening.

"Bad Guys" really just means "people that it's OK if we kill."

So who is judging whether anyone is guilty of being a "bad guy"? There is no "bad guy" court, or "bad guy" rights - it' really just the sanitization of indiscriminant murder... "it's OK that we killed him - he was bad guy"

Remember some other famous "bad guys" in this country? The Indians? It was OK that we shot, starved, exposed, and otherwise committed relative genocide against them. All we needed was their land - hell, we didn't even bother to rename things - we kept their same place name. Do you know how many state names are Native American?

Alaska, Iowa, Mississippi, Minnesota, Ohio, Massachusettes, The Dakotas, Wyoming - and more - they sure sound like Indian names to me...

4. I don't like it either...
It's just like Bush saying "you're either with us or with the terrorists." Actually, there's always gray area. That's why I enjoy Japanese anime so much, because in much of it (at least in most of the things I watch), there are no "good guys" or "bad guys;" everyone's just fighting for what they believe in.

6. I can tell you are being serious
On the other hand this means the end to a lot of tv and movies, doesn't it? I mean we can't watch 24 or go see Hellboy if we take a stand against the concept of a Bad Guy. Seems like a big sacrifice you are asking us to make, without much of a pay off.

12. I don't mind it when soldiers use it...typical thing to try and...
...dehumanize the people you are exchanging shots with. But, After centuries of Lobster Backs, Rebs, Yankees, Krauts, Japs, Reds, VC and Charlie, the best we can come up with is "bad guys"?
