Freepers perusing DU re: Ads on Air America
Was lurking Freepland, as I am prone to do, and they are copying posts here in regards to skipping past OnStar commercials on Air America, and emailing them to OnStar.

In short, anything negative you say about Air America's advertisers is being forwarded to those advertisers by Freepers.

Why a group of people with such dominance on the AM Hate airwaves are so intent on shutting down Air America is well beyond any logic, but I thought it should be made clear that posting here is always like posting in Inbredville, if it serves their purposes in any way.

This has been a public service announcement.

2. Good maybe On Star will make better ads!
That's a great way to get constructive criticism to filter back to Air's advertisers. Thanks, freepers!

11. If you read the comments
You will see that all the responses are saying this is a dumb idea and they are not going to do anything because everyone hates commercials.

Their next campaign may not be as benign, but this one sunk like a rock.

5. cause they are afraid, very afraid
the thing, it has been a decade of democrats quiet and then the last four years of being told no right to speak, unpatriotic ect..........this is far from the beginning of voice being heard, after being shut up for too long.

already i see it creating shifts. they should be afraid, truth will be heard, may take a while for some, but we can see by the numbers, people are listening.

now to get the media to have to embrace, more will hear

7. Well, then we simply tell the advertisers what THEY'RE doing
Besides, I'd want to know if people didn't like the ads I was doing. Better they complain than not buy the product at all.

18. "I can hear you now " FBI vs Onstar
http://news.com.com/2100-1029_3-5109435.html

"The FBI and other police agencies may not eavesdrop on conversations inside automobiles equipped with OnStar or similar dashboard computing systems, a federal appeals court ruled.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals said Tuesday that the FBI is not legally entitled to remotely activate the system and secretly use it to snoop on passengers, because doing so would render it inoperable during an emergency. "

-snip-

"The decision is binding only in California, Oregon, Nevada, Washington, Hawaii, and other states that fall within the 9th Circuit's jurisdiction. No other appeals court appears to have ruled on the matter."

15. Have not seen that thread, but I wouldn't be surprised if
the some posts are not started with the intent of using to smear the site in broadstroke.

We should be cognizant of posts that can be used to discredit us....and comment accordingly.

RE: commercials, I accept and acknowledge that they are helping to underwrite the costs of getting our message out.

Thanks OnStar!
