Minnesota DUers: Is Ventura better than Pawlenty?
Now you've had Tim Pawlenty for over a year. Don't you long for a return of the days of Jesse the Body?

2. Yes. At least he had enough sense to veto the
abortion legislation promoted by the right wingers.

4. In a heartbeat!!
As bad as Ventura was (and yes, I must admit I voted for him, live and learn!!) I'd take him ANY day over dumbass Pawlenty. At least he never gave us that awful concealed weapons thing!! Isn't Pawlenty trying to bring the death penalty here now also?

5. Yes. Without doubt.
I didn't care much for Ventura, but he could be counted on to defend abortion rights AND the separation of church and state.

6. I must sadly say yes
Jesse acted like a 2 year old most the time... but he got a few things right. Pawlenty is just plain WRONG

7. I don't live in Mn. but I loved the openess of Jesse
It really was apparent to me that he didn't owe anybody anything. I don't know what you didn't like about him, but I wish there were more politicians like him.

8. Pawlenty is the
coldest, cruelest governor we ever had. I don't think he'll be re-elected. All he is doing is getting things done for his buddies, like the stadium, and not lifting a hand to work out the bus strike. If it doesn't affect him, he could care less. He is such a piece of slime. I met his friend and when it became apparent to me who he was, our eyes met and I could tell he felt shame cuz I knew what he really was about. Pigs.

9. Yes...
Pawlenty has that smarmy, pious aura about him. Unfortunately, he also thinks he's witty.

10. Hell yea! Come back, Jesse
Sure, he can be crude and childish, but he's also brutally honest and willing to do things to benefit Minnesotans - not a political agenda.

12. Jesse was better than Pawlenty
I still like the unicameral legislature idea.

13. I never thought I would miss him, but alas, I do.
I did quite a bit of complaining about him while he was in office, at least he was a social liberal. This Pawlenty freak in nothing but a neo-con with a baby face.

14. YES
When Ventura wanted to cut government spending, he cut it all. Corporate welfare was just as much on the chopping block as social programs. I don't agree with that approach myself, but you gotta admire the consistency.

OTOH, Ventura was partly responsible for the reckless tax cuts that put us in the current position. But he was more honest about it than Pawlenty.

15. I voted for Jessie
my only regret was how he helped the GOP on the Wellstone memorial service issue, based on his giant ego.

Other than that, he was OK.

I don't live in Minnesota now; I live in Indiana, which is a severe culture shock.
